IRINI

All jewelry pieces are designed by Alina Forster in St. Gallen, where the prototypes are also handcrafted. Subsequently, the pieces are cast from recycled silver and gold in a small, family-run workshop in Greece.

The meticulous final polishing is carried out by Alina herself in her studio in St. Gallen or at her partner studio in Athens.

Recycled silver and gold are used for the pieces of jewelry.

Alina consciously purchases gemstones while traveling. She also collaborates with a local gemstone cutter and a Swiss mineral collector.

The name IRINI was born out of her deep connection to Greece. It was the name of her godmother from Athens and means peace – exactly what working with her hands gives her, too.

Silver

• Silver jewelry stays shiny and beautiful with regular wear. You can also keep it on while showering and bathing. If it is not worn for a longer period, the silver may tarnish.
• To prevent rapid tarnishing, please note the following:
  • Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, and chemical cosmetics.
  • Take it off when bathing in chlorine, salt, or sulfur baths.
  • Avoid storing it in the bathroom or other humid places.
• Do not store two pieces of jewelry together, as this can lead to scratches and damage.
• If it becomes heavily tarnished, you can rub the piece of jewelry with a little toothpaste and then rinse it off with water.
• So that you can enjoy your jewelry for a lifetime, I am happy to re-polish or re-matt it for you.

Gold-plated silver

To ensure the best quality, all our jewelry is high-quality gold-plated with a thick layer of gold. To make the gold plating last as long as possible, please note the following:

• Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, chemical cosmetics, and cleaning agents.
• Remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, and visiting the sauna. Avoid contact with chlorine, sand, and salt water, as this damages the gold plating.
• Avoid storing it in the bathroom or other humid places.
• Do not store two pieces of jewelry together, as this can lead to scratches and damage.
• Your jewelry should accompany you for a long time. If you feel that your gold-plated jewelry needs a refresh, please feel free to contact me. Re-gilding is offered at a fair price.

Solid gold (9, 14, and 18 karat)

• You can wear your jewelry during all activities.
